Sbarco Velasco Vitali
The “Sbarco” is an imposing 15 metre long sculpture that makes passers-by stop and reflect on nomadism and on the essence of travel. It is a symbol of a motionless march covered in leather reflecting steel, which can also be found in Palazzo Reale in a miniature version lying on a polished black marble slab. The “Branco” scattered among the rooms of Palazzo Reale achieves a personal equilibrium interacting with the surrounding environment; The “Branco” placed in the Pietrasanta church is emphasized by the unidirectional light rectangle, translating its material into a pictorial dimension.
